This document outlines the estimated costs of studying abroad for the Fall 2023 semester. Students who will be studying on this program for the entire academic year should double relevant costs listed above (example: meals). For current and up-to-date costs, please check your host institution’s website. Also stay updated with exchange rates as they fluctuate on a daily basis. XE.com is an on-line currency converter.

In addition to the costs listed above, all Washington College students studying abroad pay Washington College tuition to Washington College for the semester abroad. All scholarships, grants, and loans stay active while abroad through a Washington College exchange program.

Special Notes:

• Housing Deposit: One month's rent is due before arrival.  This can range from $1,100 - $1,290.
• Housing with a host family: Students can choose from a half-board plan or a full-board plan.  A room and half board is 795 Euros per month ($5,600 for the semester).  A room and full board is 930 Euros per month, ($6,450 for the semester).
• Meals / Groceries: For students choosing the half board plan with their host family, the costs of additional meals not covered by the host family are estimated to range from $852 - $1,000.
• Pre-term language program: There is an intensive pre-term language program offered at a cost of 295 Euros for fall semester and 550 Euros for spring semester.
