How to Apply
Thinking About Studying Abroad? Here are your first steps...
- Set-up an Advising appointment with the Assistant Director for Study Abroad, Alexandra Levy. You can make an appointment with Alex here or by calling (410) 810-8498. This meeting is to help students determine which program location fits them best and answers any questions they may have about the study abroad experience or application process.
- Review the different programs of interest and come to your advising meeting prepared with your top 3 location-choices. Review our 7 Things to Consider When Selecting a Study Abroad Location document for some good questions to consider.
- Have a valid passport! Students can apply to study abroad without a passport, but you are unable to travel to your host-country without one. Therefore, applicants should be cognizant of obtaining a passport in time. To learn more about applying for a US passport, see article linked here. Passports must also be valid 6-months after your expected return date. So current passport-holders should check their passport's expiration date to ensure it is still valid.
- After you've met with the Assistant Director for Study Abroad, please submit your application by the deadline below. Please expect to hear back from the GEO office regarding your application between 7-10 business days after the deadline.
